Mrs. Evelyn Phelps Haire, 86, of Creswell, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at Britthaven Nursing Center in Goldsboro. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Tabor Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Edwin Hill officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home of Creswell.
