Mr. William Leroy “Popeye” Davenport, 80, of 4438 N.C. Highway 32 North, Plymouth, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. A viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Puckett-Purkett Memorial Chapel, Roper. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Second Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Plymouth. Burial will follow in Second Zion Grove Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service, Roper.
