Virginia Kay Armstrong Kilgore, 56, of Hertford died unexpectedly Friday, November 19, 2010 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Born March 22, 1954 in Tyrrell County she was the daughter of the late William “Than” Armstrong and Irma Spruill Armstrong. Kay was a hairdresser and rehab technician NA II and member of Bethlehem Church of Christ.
Her family includes her husband, Milton Ray Kilgore of Hertford, N.C.; son, Devin Shawn Kilgore of Hertford, N.C.; sister, Dale A. Everett and husband, Danny of Pinetown, N.C.; brother, William Terry Armstrong and wife Dixie of Creswell, N.C. and may loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held Monday, November 22, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell with Melvin Styons, Phillip Alligood, Dennis Davis and Ernie Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Azalea Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Maitland Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her brother, Terry Armstrong.
