NORFOLK, Va. — Zola B. Paul, our “Mamaw and Dinky,” 99, went home to be with her Lord on November 23, 2010. She was born on October 6, 1911 to the late Sallie C. and John M. Benson in Pantego, North Carolina. She was also a life member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Fay P. Williams and husband Paul of Weeksville, NC; and Sallie P. Ekstrom and husband Gary of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister, Metta E. Dunshee of Pantego, NC; two grandchildren, Cynthia E. Short and husband Bill of Silver Springs, NV; and Robert C. Shultz III and wife Beth of Norfolk, VA; and two great grandchildren, Emily Meeks and Tyler Short both of Silver Springs, NV.
We don't need to use eloquent words to praise her; she was a true angel on earth. If she happened to touch your life, she will always be remembered.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, 818 Norview Ave., Norfolk VA  23509.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
