Mr. Mickey Randall Lee, age 51, a resident of 1135 Highway 33 West, Chocowinity, NC, went home to Heaven on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at the chapel of Paul Funeral Home of Washington and will be conducted Mr. Ola Forbes, Jr. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Merritt West, Jay Ange, Stephen Davis, Lee Mills, Kevin Tetterton, and Ken Bridgeman. Larry Tetterton and Charles Taylor will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Lee was born on Jan. 26, 1959 in Beaufort County to the late Elisha Worthington Lee and Annie Lillian Tyer. On Nov. 5, 1996, Mickey married the love of his life, Rose Marie Squires. Their love was like no other. Mickey was a welder and pipe fitter for several years prior to owning and operating Lee’s Auto Mart.
Mickey will always be remembered in our hearts as kind hearted, tender, and caring to his family and friends. He was the type of person that wore his heart on his sleeve and was always there to help or give great advice. He was a very compassionate and loving person. During his life, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He belonged to the Pamlico Beach Hunting Club and St. Claire‘s Hunting Club.
Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Marie Lee; one son, Mickey Randall Lee Jr. of Chocowinity; three daughters: Crystal Jean Harding and her husband, Michael Harding, of Chocowinity, Lisa Nicole Lee of Greenville, and Patricia Lynn Cox of Chocowinity; five grandchildren: Autumn Harding, Summer Morgan, Bunnie Lunsford III, Jade Cox, and Koi Chapmann; one brother, Elisha Lee of Williamston and four sisters: Jean Andrews, Mildred Turner, Nancy Lee, all of Washington, and Brenda Lee of South Carolina.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Mickey R. Lee Fund, c/o, Paul Funeral Home, 900 John Small Ave., Washington, NC, 27889.
