Della Mae Thompson Alston, 94, of 101 West Carroll St., died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, in Lenoir Memorial Hospital. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Carroll Tarkington officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times from the home. Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home.
