Mr. Michael B. Taylor, 60, of 2017 Mill Road, Evergreen community and formerly of Pactolus, N.C., died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, N.C.
He was born in Pitt County on Oct. 7, 1950. He was the son of the late Lena Gause and Virginia Belle Moore who raised him. He attended and graduated from Pitt County Schools. He was married to the late Mary Alice Gibbs Taylor.
A chapel service will be Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at 5 p.m., at Leon Randolph Memorial Chapel.
He was a member of Neighborhood Tabernacle Church of Chocowinity and other times at Little Rock Holiness Church of Chocowinity, N.C.
Survivors: Three daughters, Valarie Blount of Washington, Sheri Gibbs of the home and Chicquita Ward of Greenville, one grandchild that he raised as his own, Ashante Gibbs, 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, one dedicated friend Vance Black.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Gibbs.
