George “G.A.” Rowe

Mr. George Allen, “G.A.” Rowe, 72, a resident of 1417 G.A. Landing, Blounts Creek, N.C., died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the Beaufort County Medical Center of Washington. A graveside funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at the Esau Rowe Cemetery officiated by Pastor David Linton.
Mr. Rowe was born in Beaufort County on Nov. 5, 1938, son of the late George Bryan Rowe and the late Minnie Gray Brantley Rowe. He was not just a jack-of-all-trades but the master of many. Mr. Rowe was an excellent mechanic and had worked at the former Texas Gulf, Singer Furniture and was a commercial fisherman.
Survivors include a dearly loved companion: Jeannie Jones of the home; a son: Raymond Rowe and his wife, Sherri, of Blounts Creek; two daughters: Connie Martin and her husband, Gary, of Blounts Creek and Beulah Anderson and her husband, Kenny, of Dudley, N.C.; a sister: Opal Nixon of Blounts Creek; a stepsister: Maxine Kinnion of Blounts Creek; a stepbrother: George Boyd of Blounts Creek; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. Rowe was preceded in death by a son: Joe Rowe.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
