Mr. Bernard W. Respess, a resident of Plymouth, N.C., died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Beaufort County Medical Center. A private visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Service. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Oakdale Cemetery officiated by Mr. Bob Moulden.
Mr. Respess was born on Jan. 23, 1958, son of the late James Bernard and Allie Waters Respess. He was a graduate of Pantego High School and on March 19, 1977, he married the former Teresa Boyd who survives. Mr. Respess was a retired truck driver working most recently with Swain Gas.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Respess is survived by two sisters, Janet R. Wallace of Pantego and Linda R. Williams of Jamesville; two brothers, James Earl Respess and Timothy Lee Respess, both of Plymouth, and his faithful companion, his dog “Bingo” and bird “Sonny”.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by one brother, David Wayne Respess in 1968.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Beaufort County Humane Society, P.O. Box 8, Washington, NC, 27889 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
