Mr. Whit Coffield Purvis Jr., 90, of Williamston, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at Martin General Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jim Horton officiating. The family will receive friends at the Parish House after the funeral service. Arrangements are by Biggs Funeral Home, Williamston.
