Mrs. Gladys Layton Ward, 89, of 938 Pine Ridge Road died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 in Chowan Hospital. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Capehart’s Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Jake Dunlow and Rev. Wallace Phillips.
