Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Whitford of Washington, N.C., are pleased to announce the birth of a daughter, Madison Elizabeth Whitford, on February 17, 2011, at Beaufort County Medical Center.

Madison weighed 8 pounds, 5.6 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long. She has a brother, Steven Whitford. The mother is the former Melissa Whitley.

Maternal grandparents are Keith and Ellen Whitley of Washington.

Paternal grandparents are Louis and Mary Whitford of Washington.

Great-grandparents are Bob and Ann Parker, Ione Whitford, Viola Woolard, and Bill and Helen Whitley.
