The Washington Daily News will announce its Mother of the Year on Mother’s Day, May 8.

Anyone wishing to make a nomination for the Mother of the Year award should submit a letter about his or her nominee to the attention of Margie Gardner by mail at Washington Daily News, P.O. Box 1788, Washington, NC 27889; in person at the newspaper office at 217 N. Market St.; by fax at 946-9795 or by e-mail at society@wdnweb.com.

Please include contact information, including a phone number for the person making the nomination, not the person who is being nominated. Nominations submitted without telephone contact information will not be considered.

Nominations must be received by April 30. The winner will be chosen on the basis of quality, rather than quantity, of the letter or letters received. All submissions become the property of the Washington Daily News.
