On April 7, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a sexual offense involving a child under the age of 10 that occurred in the Crystal Beach community.

As the result of an investigation, Investigator Robert Gaskins obtained warrants charging James Michael Moore, 68, of River Road, Blounts Creek, with six counts of first-degree statutory sexual offense. Moore was arrested Monday and confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond. Additional charges against Moore are possible.
