Roy Elvin Lafferty Jr., 72, a resident of Colerain, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, in Bertie County. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Colerain Baptist Church with the Revs. Don Roberts, Nathan Parrish and Avery Varnadore officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor. Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home of Windsor.
