Mr. Gary Lynn Woolard, age 57, died Thursday, May 5, 2011.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Derik Davis.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Bobby Silverthorne, Bobby Crisp, L. B. Crisp, Joseph Kirkley, Nat Woolard, and Saunders Cox.

Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on Nov. 17, 1953. He was the son of Mavis Elks Woolard and the late Dick Woolard. Mr. Woolard was a 1973 graduate of Washington High School.

Mr. Woolard is survived by his wife, Christine Moore Woolard of Washington; his mother, Mavis Elks Woolard of Washington; his daughter, Cathy W. Silverthorne and husband, Bobby of Washington; two sons, Gary Lynn “Buddy” Woolard, Jr. of Washington, Cory Sutton of Greenville; two sisters, Sandy Gerard of Washington, Patsy Johnson of New Berlin, Wisc.; two brothers, Steve Woolard of Washington, Tony Woolard of Winterville; and three grandchildren, Dylan Silverthorne, Mya Woolard and Sage Woolard.
