Heintz faces drug charges

On Friday, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office’s Drug Unit received a CrimeStoppers complaint that Toren Heintz, 26, of 310 Jordan Lane, Pinetown, was growing marijuana plants.
Investigators responded to the residence and made contact with Heintz. They searched the residence, finding two marijuana plants, a plastic bag containing marijuana, marijuana smoking pipes, Oxycontin pills, Oxycodone pills and Hydrocodone pills.
Heintz was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell and deliver Oxycontin, a Schedule II controlled substance, and trafficking in opium.
Heintz was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.
