The Beaufort County Arts Council anticipates it will showcase more than 50 artists in its Members’ Exhibit.

More than 100 works by some of the arts council’s artist-members will be on display at the Washington Civic Center beginning May 19 through June 24.

The exhibit will start with an opening reception from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. May 19.

The reception is open to the public.

BCAC welcomes the opportunity to allow its members to exhibit annually.

Works from all mediums are included.

Artists who wish to exhibit can enter up to two works. There is no juror and no entry fees.

The only requirement for the exhibit is that artists are members in good standing with BCAC.

The deadline to enter work for the exhibit is 4 p.m. May 13.

According to BCAC Executive Director Joey Toler, the show is one of the organization’s most anticipated annual events.

“Outside of our Fine Arts Show in October, this has to be one of our most popular exhibits,” said Toler. “It’s a chance for the public to see what a broad range of talent we have among our membership when it comes to the visual arts.”

The Washington Civic Center gallery is open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Occasionally the civic center is closed for private functions, so the public is encouraged to call the arts council in advance to verify gallery hours.
