Dollie Cline White

Dollie Cline White, 82, of Lambert Fork Road, Taylorsville, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Frye Regional Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 1, 1928, in Caldwell County to the late James Edward Cline Sr. and Florence Pipes Cline. She was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church and retired from Broyhill Industries #5 in Taylorsville after 29 years of service. Dollie enjoyed sewing. She was an accomplished seamstress who sewed for many people in Taylorsville and the surrounding area. She was a person of great faith having received Jesus Christ as her Savior many years ago. She has served as Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher. Her desire would be that everyone know Jesus as personal Savior and Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, June White; a sister, Lois Colvard and an infant, Agnes Cline; three brothers, James Cline Jr., William Cline and Gwyn Cline; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include four sons, Rev. Stuart White and wife, Sandra of Granite Falls, Kenneth White of Liberty, Kentucky, Danny White and wife, Joyce of Petersburg, Virginia and Rev. Curtis White and wife, Wanda of Bath, N.C.; a sister, Shirley Watson and husband, R.W. of Taylorsville; two brothers, Bobby Cline and wife, Judi of Lenoir and Steve Steele and wife, Pam of Granite Falls; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Three Forks Baptist Church by Dr. Carson Moseley, Rev. Stuart White, Rev. Grady Blakely and Rev. Curtis White. Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour.

The family will receive friends at Adams Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.

Her family wishes to thank the members of Three Forks Baptist Church as well as all others for the prayers, visits, food and friendship shown to Dollie over the years. A special “Thank you” is extended to Mrs. Flaxen Reid who served as her caregiver in recent months. They also extend their words of appreciation to the doctors and health care personnel who have cared for her.
