Regarding the sidewalk between 15th Street and Airport Road: Is there some kind of environmental law in place that you cannot clean up near wetlands?

To the no-tax crowd I want to say: tell us what would be an acceptable level of service in Beaufort County if we just blindly cut the taxes. Give us specific areas where cuts can be made, and tell us what an acceptable level of service will be. Don’t make threats to our commissioners. Show us the money.

Now that the price of crude oil has plummeted, when are we going to see a change at the pump?

Thanks for the editorial on Relay for Life. When we walk that survivor lap, it touches our hearts when we see family, friends, church family, business associates, teenagers, toddlers and adults cheering us on. Thanks for the hard work, dedication, caring and love. It is awesome.

Where was the no-tax mob when the county was wasting millions of taxpayer dollars trying to run the hospital? Anyone can rail against more taxes and ring their hands over the plight of the poor people, but where were you when we needed you?
