On April 24, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a larceny at a residence on N.C. Highway 33 East in Blount’s Creek.  The victim reported the theft of two steel jack stands. It was determined during an investigation the stolen property had been sold to a local recycling business. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the owner.

As a result, Investigator Rob Voliva obtained a warrant charging Marvin Lee Norfleet, 38, and Marcia Kendra Norfleet, 33, both of Sam’s Road in Chocowinity, each with one count of misdemeanor larceny and one of obtaining property by false pretense. Both suspects were arrested by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office on Monday. Each was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $1,500 secured bond.
