Mary Keech

Mrs. Mary Frances Cole Cutler Keech, age 93, a former resident of 4809 Christian School Road, Pantego, and more recently of Pungo, died Tuesday morning, May 24, 2011, at Roanoke Landing Nursing and Rehab Facility in Plymouth, N.C.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Washington officiated by Aaron Saufley and Jon Langley. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Her grandsons Jerry Langley, Jimmy Langley, Jeffrey Latham, Casey Cutler, Brooks Cutler, Jamie Boyd, Donnie Cutler Jr. and Jonah Cutler will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Keech was born in Greene County on Nov. 10, 1917, daughter of the late John Marshall Cole and Iola Mae Wagoner Cole. She attended Pantego High School and was a homemaker. On Nov. 8, 1935, she married James Olif Cutler who preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1952, and then on Dec. 25, 1954, she married Leva Benjamin Keech who preceded her in death on June 26, 1973. Mrs. Keech was a member of Terra Ceia Church of Christ and the Ladies Auxiliary and former member of the Pinetown Senior Citizens Club.
Mrs. Keech is survived by her three daughters: Delores Langley and her husband, Max of Greenville; Mary Elizabeth Latham and her husband, Fletcher of Pantego and Iola C. “Tinker” Boyd and her husband, Eddie of Pantego; her three sons: James Marshall Cutler and his wife, Linda of Terra Ceia; Tommy Cutler and his wife, Ida Faye Cutler of Terra Ceia and Donnie Cutler Sr. of Pinetown; two stepsons: J.T. Keech Sr. of Washington and Leo Berl Keech of Trenton, Fla.; her sister-in-law: Helen Cole of Lakeland, Fla.; 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and her special friend, Frances Bell of Terra Ceia. She is preceded in death by her son, Langley “Pete” Cutler; her grandson, Edward Patrick Boyd; two brothers Elmer Cole and Victor Cole and one sister, Flemmie Lee Cole.

The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Paul Funeral Home in Washington.
