Moore moved to Beaufort County in the mid-1970s to own and operate a boatyard on Broad Creek. He joined the real estate community in 2004. Moore holds both the coveted Certified Residential Specialist and Graduate Realtor Institute designations.

In 2007, he was awarded the Joe Schweidler Memorial Scholarship Award by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission for “outstanding academic achievement” at that year’s North Carolina Realtor Institute. In 2009, he was selected to serve a three-year term as an educational dean by the North Carolina Real Estate Educational Foundation, the educational arm of the North Carolina Association of Realtors.

At the local level, Moore has served as a director on the Washington Beaufort County Board of Realtors. Additionally, he served as chairman of the MLS committee, one of the most demanding of the board-level committees. He was presented the President’s Award for 2009.
