Moore nabbed on drug charges

On May 25, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office’s Drug Unit responded to the intersection of N.C. Highway 33 East, Old Sandhill Road and Bonnerton Road (an area known as Alcohol Junction) in Edward to serve an arrest warrant for trafficking in cocaine on Bobby Moore, 31, of 21703 N.C. Highway 33 East, Aurora.

Moore ran from investigators as they approached. Investigators chased Moore on foot for a short distance before Moore was apprehended. Moore was searched and found to be in possession of 25 grams of cocaine and two plastic bags of marijuana.

Moore was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Moore was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under an $800,000 secured bond.
