Violet Rae Dunlow Mizell, 83, of 403 Old U.S. Highway 17 North, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Greens Cross Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Windsor.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. tonight at Walker Funeral Home and from the home.
