Northside High School carpentry classes completed a semester filled with exceptional learning opportunities. The classes started with basic safety and tool knowledge, progressed into small construction projects, including wood duck boxes for Ducks Unlimited, picnic tables, custom-built doghouses and building stairs. The students were able to showcase their talents with the construction of an outdoor shower for the Ormond Amphitheater and an 8-by-10 storage building. The Carpentry II students shown with the results of their hard work are Ryan Mills, Donteaz Cox, Josh Britt, Raheem Rodman and Justin Whealton. Anyone interested in donating to the program for the storage building should contact Jack Beirne, carpentry teacher, by email at jbeirne@beaufort.k12.nc.us. (Submitted Photo/BCS)
