Could the city publish the day and time, on a month-by-month basis, on when it estimates it will hit its peak-load demand? Knowing this schedule would allow Washington Electric Utilities customers to voluntarily reschedule their own personal use and times of running washing machines, dishwashers, air conditioners, dryers and the like. This would save the cost of installing load-management devices in the homes.

Thank you to the man in the red truck who stopped on Cherry Road the other morning to offer his assistance when I was trying to get my 13-year-old dog out of the middle of the road. The dog had been struck by a car and killed. I am so appreciative for him and his compassion.

I loved Bartow’s column about Bing Mitchell. He was a good man!
