There are cigarette butts from one end of the waterfront to the other, particularly by the Chamber. I noticed they are everywhere by the pavilion where the band played for the 4th of July. They will not deteriorate into the Earth and I am sure they are terrible for trying to plant anything. What is the answer? Should we fill pots with sand and perhaps smokers will put the butts in them. They are very unsightly and make it appear that we don’t care about our waterfront.
