Stocks & Taylor Construction Inc. was recently awarded the Building Design Award from A&S Building Systems, a leading manufacturer of pre-engineered building systems based in Caryville, Tenn.

“Quality of work produced in the erected building system is the (criterion) for receiving this award,” said Bill Cole, A&S district manager, who presented the award to Selden Taylor, president of Stocks & Taylor, one of 20 companies chosen from among 200 A&S-authorized dealers seeking the award.

Stocks & Taylor is located at 1825 Carolina Ave., Washington, a centralized location for business in eastern North Carolina. The firm offers a full range of commercial, industrial and institutional construction services, from design-build construction, pre-engineered metal building erection and general contracting services.

The company is owned and operated by Taylor and Bryan Stocks, vice president. They are licensed professional engineers in North Carolina and native to eastern North Carolina. Collectively, they have 30 years of experience in the commercial construction business.
