Mac Hodges, outgoing N.C. Future Farmers of America (FFA) Alumni Association president, was recently presented with the organization’s Outstanding Achievement Award. This recognition is given to alumni members whose work shows exceptional dedication to agriculture education, the FFA and FFA Alumni organizations through their efforts.
Ronnie Ansley, incoming N.C. FFA Alumni Association president, had this to say of his longtime colleague and friend: “The Outstanding Achievement Award is one of the highest, if not the highest, award we can give. The selection process looks at the best of the best and with his 20 plus years of dedicated service, Mac fit the bill.” Hodges just completed a 20-year stint as North Carolina FFA Alumni Association president and will now take on the vice president role.
“He is tireless in his service and giving back to the youth of North Carolina,” Ansley explained.
Hodges has also served as the National FFA Alumni Association president during a four-year term on the National Council. He has been a part of the N.C. FFA Alumni Association for more than 25 years. Hodges, a resident of the Old Ford community outside Washington, is employed as district field representative with the North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation. He has also served as a member of the Beaufort County Board of Education for more than 20 years.
