In reference to the article concerning the Beaufort County school system’s AYP: Yes, something needs to be done. Sometimes, what we need is someone with a backbone who will take care of these students who are disrupting the teachers who are trying to teach. The teachers have very little respect in the classroom and they have spent much of their time disciplining the students and following procedures with an office referral, only to have that same student returned to the classroom to cause more disturbances. … And they wonder where valuable teaching time goes?

There does not need to be a change to school uniforms.

Leave our pets at home, where they are safe. Do not take them out with you on errands if you are going to have to leave them in the car.
