The third volume of the popular WELCOME! Magazine, a resource guide for visitors and newcomers, is now available.

The publication is a collaborative project of the Washington Tourism Development Authority, Washington-Beaufort Chamber of Commerce and Washington Newsmedia, LLC, publishers of the Washington Daily News.

Ten thousand copies are available at various locations and at select businesses throughout the county.

“This is the best edition yet!” said Ray McKeithan, publisher. “We feel it captures the spirit and vitality of the region and will be a useful resource for the folks who want to learn more about this unique and amazing area.”

As explained in the magazine, “Washington, Beaufort County and the entire Pamlico region are all synonyms for ‘quality of life’ … this is the place where the Inner Banks and the Outer Banks meld seamlessly together. Life moves slower here, with purpose and wonder.”

WELCOME! is filled with 20 different editorial features focusing on history, community profiles, culture, outdoor fun, shopping, boating and the North Carolina Estuarium. The 40-page edition is printed on thick, 80# glossy magazine stock.

“We’ve received overwhelming support from advertisers, the chamber of commerce and tourism authority,” said McKeithan. “I am grateful to Catherine Glover, Lynn Lewis and the 50 businesses who supported the project. I’m confident they’ll benefit from exposure in a publication that is distributed year-round … a good return on investment.”

Ten thousand copies of WELCOME! will be distributed. Advertisers in the edition, who would like to become WELCOME! distributors, are encouraged to email advertising@wdnweb.com for information.
