Wedding – Woolard Adams

Daisy Louise Woolard and William “WC” Carlton Adams, Jr. were united in marriage Saturday, June 11, 2011, at 5:30 p.m. at Rock Springs Center in Greenville, NC. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Minister Joe Puryear. Wedding music was provided by Angie Ruffin, pianist, and vocalists Misty Skinner, singing “When God Made You,” and Ben Waters, singing “I’ll Be.”
The bride is the daughter of Jackie Farmer of Bath, NC, and Fred G. Woolard, Jr., of Washington, NC.
The groom is the son of Donna Price of Washington, and the late William “Pee Wee” Adams, Sr. of Washington.
The bride was escorted by her father, Fred G. Woolard, Jr., and given in marriage by her parents. She wore an all-over elegant lace, A-line gown adorned with beading and crystals. Rhinestones trimmed the shapely, sweetheart neckline and the peaked empire waistline. The zipper back was complimented with alternating buttons and rhinestones meeting a modified chapel length train with a scalloped hemline. Her veil was of fingertip length with a rhinestone, scolloped hemline. She carried a bouquet of fuchsia gerbera daisies and ivory lilies.
Pam Puryear of Mount Holly, NC, served as matron of honor. Abby Whitt of Ringgold, NC, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Allison Fonville of Warsaw, NC, Janel Curry of Fayetteville, NC, and Crystal Woolard, Grayce Woolard and Laura Woolard, all of Washington. Honorary bridesmaid was Sarah Shiver of Washington, sister of bride. The attendants wore jade A-line chiffon and satin floor-length gowns with halter neckline. They carried fuchsia gerbera daisies bouquets.
Miniature bride was Heaven Willoughby of Bear Grass, cousin of the bride. Miniature groom was Charlie Woolard of Washington, the bride’s nephew. Ring bearer was Austin Puryear of Mount Holly, cousin of the groom.
Dwayne Puryear of Mount Holly, uncle of groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Ben Lawniczak of Charlotte, NC, Chase Hiatt of Washington, Christopher Puryear of Mount Holly, Fred G. Woolard, III of Washington and T.W. Hodges of Pittsville, VA. Usher was Hilton O’Neal of Washington.
Mistress of ceremony was Lou Waters. Register attendants were Kristen Hodges and Sarah Blakenship.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Rock Springs Center, hosted by Jackie Farmer and Fred G. Woolard, Jr. Music for the evening was by DJ Steve Baker. The dinner was buffet style. Tables were covered with white and fuchsia tablecloths and featured centerpieces in an assortment of glass bowls with fuchsia gerbera daisies and floating candles. The 4-tier vanilla cake with buttercream icing, made by Dottie Moore, was decorated with white daisies and jade ribbon.
A rehearsal dinner was held Friday evening at Snowd Branch Church of God family life center in Washington, hosted by Jay and Donna Price. The meal was catered by Hog Heaven.
The bride, a graduate of Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC, earned Master of Business Administration and Doctorate of Pharmacy degrees. She is employed with CVS Pharmacy in Belmont, NC.
The groom graduated from Beaufort County Community College with an associate degree in mechanical engineering, drafting and design. He is employed with U-Haul in Holly Springs, NC.
After a wedding trip to Couples Tower Isle, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Belmont.
