Dancing Queens!

Centerstage Dance Company, under the direction of LeAnne Jones-Braly and based at Dance Works, recently attended Marvonna’s regional dance competition in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and the national dance competition in Supply. Dancers competing included (from left, first row) MacKenzie Rouse, Jessica Williams, Morgan Burroughs and Zoe Davenport; (second row) Caitlin Alligood, Melissa Henley and Courtney Leffelman; (third row) Jenny Woodward, Lauren Wise, Lindsay Faulk and Holly Alligood. At the regional competition, all senior-level dancers received The Max Award. In the junior division, the group received a Mega Extreme Award. Dancers competing in the Marvonna nationals received four The Max Awards and four Mega Extreme Awards. Jones-Braly received the Exceptional Choreography Award for her jazz number “Mein Herr.” Centerstage Dance Company is a nonprofit organization focusing on training students in more advanced skills and technique in dance, while giving them the opportunity to grow personally and as a member of a group.
