Mr. Freeman Turner Thatcher, 83, a resident of 103 Golf Road, Plymouth, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at Roanoke Landing Nursing Center, Plymouth. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Puckett-Purkett Memorial Chapel, 300 W. Buncombe St., Roper, with Elder Carlos Riddick officiating. Burial will follow in Watson Memorial Garden. Arrangements are by Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service, Roper.
