On Monday at approximately 9:37 p.m., Deputy Thomas Salinas with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office’s Patrol Division was patrolling the River Road area of Washington when he located a car being operated on River Road that matched the description of a vehicle involved in a suspicious-activity report earlier near Brick Kiln Road. Salinas had a telecommunicator run the tag number, and he learned the vehicle’s registration had an “insurance stop.” Salinas stopped the vehicle and spoke to its occupants.

During the stop, Salinas noticed the driver was overly nervous, according to the sheriff’s office. A consent search of the car was performed. A plastic bag containing seven individually wrapped baggies of marijuana was located in the center console.

As a result of information and evidence collected at the scene, Salinas arrested Ronriquez Lamont Flowers, 24, of Vermont Avenue, Washington, and charged him with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Flowers was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $1,500 secured bond.
