A resident in the historic district for five years, I bought a house here because I love the river and the history. I welcome regulations that ensure we don’t have a flea-market atmosphere. Rather than a once-a-month shopper, I am paying taxes to help support our city. This is what retirees do. When the temperatures are cooler, the shoppers will be back, provided they can get through the maze of merchandise to find the door.
Don’t cut our military’s pay.
Feral cats are a part of most communities across America. What I have learned, however, is that … Washington is not humane in the treatment of cats … compared to other towns and cities. I also have learned that (a) local nonprofit is working hard (at) making these cats a healthy bunch of cats. Thanks to all involved in this organization.
When the sheriff’s cars are flying down River Road, they need to have their sirens on. My husband and two dogs barely made it across the road the other morning. It was a very dangerous situation.
