Ada Louise Harris Mizell

Ada Louise Harris Mizell went to her heavenly home on August 18, 2011 after a short illness at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Louise was born on February 9, 1932, daughter of the late Johnnie and Lyda Harris of Pinetown. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Irvin Mizell, Sr.  Louise leaves behind a son: Jesse Irvin Mizell, Jr. and wife Deanna; daughters: Johnna Cowin and husband Clayton and Lisa Sloan and husband Phil.  She also has five grandsons:  Jonathan Cowin and wife Caddie, Jason Cowin, Phillip Sloan, Matthew Sloan and Landon Mizell. Louise was a lifetime member of Athens Chapel Church of Christ in Bath, NC and a faithful attendee of Rose of Sharon FWB Church in Bear Grass.

Louise dedicated her life to serving students of Martin County. She was employed by the Martin County Board of Education for over 40 years. She made a lasting impression in the lives she touched and will be deeply missed by friends and family.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 20, 2011 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens conducted by Pastor Bryant Hines, Jr.

Jonathan Cowin, Jason Cowin, Phillip Sloan, Matthew Sloan, Clayton Cowin and Phil Sloan will serve as pallbearers.

The children will receive friends at the home.
