A funeral for Leyta G. Phelps, 85, a resident of Roper, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2011. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Christian Church, Williamston. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Zion’s Chapel Church of Christ, Roper. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
