It is wonderful to bring up all the places that we used to enjoy so much. I would love to have another Radio View Grill, a drive-in theater or Mrs. Carver’s. These were the good days. There were things to do, and they were decent things. We need things like this for our young folks and our medium and old folks. I wish someone would build one. It meant so much then, and it would again.
In regard to Gary Ceres’ column in Thursday’s paper: Well read, well said!
I was in the Brown Library a few days ago, and a group of about 10 to 12 people were gathered around one of the computer islands looking at the screens. There were three babies in the group; one wasn’t more than 6 or 8 months old. The babies were crying a good bit of the time. I always thought the library was a place to go for a “quiet place to read.”

I knew that Hood Richardson and Stan Deatherage would vote against the hospital deal. It is just the kind of people they are.
Thank God that the UHS deal has been approved. I told friends weeks ago that Stan and Hood would vote against it. And then those two get up and talk about failure. Weren’t they on the board when all this was going on?
