Betty Joyce Eastwood Carpenter, 67, of Sharpsburg, died Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, conducted by the Rev. Chester Rains. Burial will follow in the Stantonsburg Town Cemetery.

The family received friends Monday at the funeral home and at other times at the home.

The family would like to make a special thank you to Community Hospice of Rocky Mount for their loving care.

She is survived by three sons, Vince  Carpenter and Greg Carpenter and wife, Angela both of Rocky Mount and Jason Carpenter of the home; four grandchildren, Angela, Sierra, Gabriel, and Jason; two sisters, Faye Smith of Stantonsburg and Pam Price of Saratoga: two brothers, Carl Eastwood of Wilson and Ray Eastwood of Washington, N.C., and Chance, her beloved pet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maige and Mildred Della Bryant Eastwood; and a brother, Bonnie Eastwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Community Hospice of Rocky Mount, 3124 Zebulon Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
