Miss Sandra Elaine Dolin

Miss Sandra E. Dolin, age 60, a resident of Quarter Road, Swan Quarter, N.C., passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Pungo District Hospital. The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at noon at St. Stephens Community Church in the Bayview community of Bath officiated by pastor Gary Best. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Community Church Cemetery. Jonathon Windley, Kenny White, Sterles Norman and Jermaine Bryant will serve as pallbearers.
Miss Dolin was born on Oct. 18, 1950, in West Virginia, daughter of the late Earl Dolin and Hazel Stapelton Dolin. She was an avid animal lover and supporter of the Humane Society. Miss Dolin was a member of St. Stephens Community Church.
Survivors include her brother, Jerry Dolin of Yates City, Ill.; one aunt, Janet Stapelton of W.Va.; two sisters, Katherine Burroughs and Sarah B. Windley, both of Washington, N.C.; two nieces, Kim Lister, husband Rick, and her two daughters, Jessica and Addie, all of Peoria, Ill., and Dawn Dolin of Seattle, Wash.; nephew, Eric Dolin of Seattle, Wash.; and her cat, Boots.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Dolin, Gene Dolin and Danny Dolin and her poodle, Lucy.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Humane Society of Beaufort County, P.O. Box 8, Washington, NC 27889.
