Wedding – Sutton-Warren

Samantha Lynn Sutton and Steven Murray Warren, Jr. were united in marriage on August 6, 2011, at the Tanglewood Church of Kinston at 11:00 a.m. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Allen Stocks.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Franklin D. Sutton of La Grange and Mrs. Angie Dove Fontana of Greenville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Meta B. Jernigan and the late Franklin D. Sutton, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Billy L. Dove, all of La Grange.
The groom is the son of Mr. Steve Murray Warren, Sr. of La Grange and Mrs. Cindy Boyd Burke of Kinston. He is the grandson of Representative Edith Doughtie Warren of Farmville and the late Mr. Billy N. Warren, and Mr. and Mrs. Dalmon Edison Boyd of Bath, and the late Carolyn Keech Boyd.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a formal strapless A-line gown designed by Anjolique. It featured an overlying ruched bodice that transitioned to a chapel-length train. Embellished lace motifs decorated the neckline and side skirt. She wore a white train length veil and carried a bouquet of yellow gerbera daisies, white roses and lilies.
Attending the bride as her maid of honor was her sister, Miss Morgan Sutton. Miss Bailey Sutton, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid.
The father of the groom served as best man. Groomsman was the groom’s brother, Matthew Edison Warren of Kinston.
Mistress of ceremony was Mrs. Robin Elliott Boyd of Bath, aunt of the groom. Register attendants were Mikal Alise Burke of Kinston, sister of groom and Elizabeth Anne Boyd of Bath, cousin of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a luncheon was hosted by the groom’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dalmon E. Boyd. The three-tier wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. Tracy Sutton of La Grange, aunt of bride.
On Friday evening, a rehearsal dinner was held at The Baron & The Beef in Kinston hosted by the parents of the bridegroom.
A bridal shower was hosted by the bride and groom’s family and friends on July 30 at Tanglewood Church.
The bride attends East Carolina University. The bridegroom attends East Carolina University and is currently employed by Joe Pecheles Audi, Inc.
Since a honeymoon, the couple have made their home in Greenville.
