Mr. Samuel Whitaker Jr., 83, a resident of 3100 N. Elm St., Apt. 8D, Greensboro, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011. A funeral will be conducted at noon today at the Star Zion Disciples of Christ Church in Fairfield. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral and other times at 18497 U.S. Highway 264, Swan Quarter. Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
