Free Breast Cancer Screenings

Dr. Brenda Peacock of Washington Women’s Care will team up with doctors from OB/GYN of Washington and Eastern Radiologists to hold free breast cancer screenings from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. A representative from the Beaufort County Health Department will be onsite to determine if those in need qualify for assistance with the cost of a mammogram. 3rd Annual “Paint the Town Pink”

Paint the Town Pink – a day of breast cancer awareness and support for local survivors. Everyone is asked to wear pink in honor of breast cancer survivors. Participating businesses will offer discounts when you visit their store wearing pink. Event T-shirts may be purchased at Eastern Radiologists, OB/GYN of Washington, Beaufort Hospital gift shop, Lifestyles Medical Fitness Center and Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center. The following local businesses will be participating: Historic Bath Site Gift Shop, Baker Building Supply, Inc., Amy’s Hallmark, Uniforms PRN, Russell’s Men’s Shop, Down on Mainstreet, Tractor Supply, Boss Hogs, Plantation House, Ship on Site, TriCounty Telecom, Frank’s Pizza, Washington Jewelers, Andy’s of Washington, Marabella’s, Georgie’s Sports and Oyster Bar, Sheer Elegance, Riddick and Windley Hardware, and Farmboys. All proceeds will be donated to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center.

Pink Power Social

Free dessert social hosted by Pitt County Memorial Hospital and Beaufort Hospital from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the beautiful Rock Springs Center in Greenville. Take the “Pink Power Express” bus from Beaufort Hospital to Rock Springs Center.
