During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Chevrolet Certified Service is giving customers the option to donate their oil-change and brake-pad service rebates of $5, $10 and $25 to the American Cancer Society.

The partnership is part of a yearlong celebration of Chevrolet’s 100th birthday Nov. 3, 2011.

General Motors is encouraging its dealers to support this effort on a local level as well. To show its commitment, Lee Chevrolet Buick of Washington made a $1,000 contribution to the Shepard Cancer Foundation. In addition, Lee Chevrolet employees are participating in the Paint the Town Pink breast cancer-awareness initiative and will be wearing pink shirts and jeans on Fridays during October.
