Kenneth Lelon Boyette

Mr. Kenneth Lelon Boyette, age 59, a resident of Adams St., Chocowinity, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at the home of his sister, Joyce Dallas, in Oriental. A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. today at Hillside Funeral Service and Cremations, 4500 U.S. Highway 264 East, Washington, officiated by Pastor Donald Hadley. A visitation will be held immediately following the service at Hillside Funeral Service.

Mr. Boyette was born on April 5, 1952, in Jersey City, N.J., son of the late William Boyette and Loys Frances Earp. He was maintenance supervisor and president of the union for facility maintenance onboard MCAS Cherry Point. Kenneth attended First Baptist Church in Havelock. He made his home in Chocowinity for the past seven years.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Lee Eggert of Havelock and Melissa “Missy” B. Barnes of Grifton; sisters Joyce Dallas of Oriental and Janice Harris of Spring Hope; one brother Ralph Boyette of Georgia, and eight grandchildren.
