Washington Pediatrics will celebrate National Food Day on Monday at its offices at 1206 Brown St. from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Washington Pediatrics is teaming up with the Beaufort County Health Department, Child Connections and the Community Child Protection Team to promote one of Food Day’s main goals: to reduce diet-related disease by promoting safe, healthful foods. Monday morning, Washington Pediatrics will offer children and their families the opportunity to make their own delicious, healthful snacks and information on ideas for additional nutritious snacks and other tips to promote the health of their families. In addition, the first 45 families will receive gift bags, including a food-related children’s book.
