Mr. Samuel L. Fenner, 78, a resident of 1135 Backwoods Road, Roper, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at his home. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Welch Jr., pastor, officiating, and eulogy by the Rev. Robert Watts. Burial will follow in Macedonia Church of Christ cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the church and other times at the home. Arrangements are by Toodle’s Funeral Home, Plymouth.
