Mr. John Yanosko

Mr. John Yanosko, age 89, a resident of Erie, Pa., died Friday, Oct. 28, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted by Brugger Funeral Homes and Crematory in Erie, Pa.

Mr. Yanosko was born in Erie, Pa. on Dec. 29, 1921. He was the son of the late Andrew Yanosko and Anna Dopiriak Yanosko.

Mr. Yanosko served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Yanosko was a retired accountant/circulation office manager with Erie Times News, retiring after 48 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards and fishing.

Mr. Yanosko is survived by his wife, Charlotte Ann Kowalik Yanosko, of the home; two sons, Dr. Thomas Andrews of Chocowinity, and Dr. Gregory Andrews of South Bend, Ind.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild due in November.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Yanosko was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
